尾道の夏の風物詩。毎年、いくつかのテーマでからくり人形を使った場面がつくられます。それぞれの人形の手の先からは、水が噴水のように吹き出す仕組みになっていて、まるでマジックを見ているかのようです。夏の夕刻、ひとときの涼感を求めて、多くの人たちが集り、からくり人形のできばえを楽しみます.

Every year at the Water Festival, puppet shows are held on a variety of themes. But these aren't just any puppets, however, as they all have a special talent for spouting water from their fingers, or from whatever article they are carrying. It's an early evening magical event that helps you cool off after a hot summer's day. Held at the end of July at Kumano-Gongen Shrine and surrounding Mizuo-Cho area.
