節分会 (2月)- Setsubun Ceremony (Feb)
In the Setsubun Ceremony, men who were born under the current year's astrological sign wear a loincloth and throw beans at the spectators, shouting, “Out with evil, in with good fortune!” thereby praying for another year of freedom from illness and peace in the family. In addition to beans, the men also throw rice cakes and tangerines that the spectators all the more eagerly try to haul in. It is held on February 3rd at Saikokuji Temple
