Walk from the base of Mt Jodoji from Jodoji Temple and it takes 30-40 minutes to reach the top outcrop of rocks for the absolute best view of Onomichi. Take your own water as there are no drink facilities at the top. A wonderful way to start the day in Onomichi and watch the sun rise over the city or set in the evening. To begin the walk, go to Jodoji temple and walk out the back of it on the right hand side and follow the road straight up and then just keep on going and going and going...

This is a video of the walk from Jodoji Temple at the bottom of Jodoji Mountain to the very top of the mountain. If you have time and are fit, it is highly recommended. Remember, this video has been fast forwarded so the trip to the top is much faster than you will be going.
