Beating drums and playing flutes, dancers wearing comical masks and colorful costumes march the city's streets, shouting "iya-eh" and "sora-eh." The Kinosho Kane Taiko Dance is an offering to the gods of the Heitaka Shrine and has been designated as an Intangible Folklore Cultural Property by the prefecture of Hiroshima. It is held on the 3rd Sunday of October at the Kinosho Heitaka Hachiman Shrine.
