One of the “Three Great Festivals” of Onomichi. Watch as three groups of men, young and old, wearing “happi” coats and carrying a “mikoshi,” (portable altar) race to be the first to reach the goal.  It is held at the end of July in front of Onomichi's Watashiba ferry platform.
