Getting to Onomichi City
新幹線で新尾道駅下車でもいいですがメインの観光スッポトからは少し離れていますので電車でJR尾道駅下車がお勧めです。商店街、千光寺などのすぐそばです。

Onomichi also has a shinkansen station (Shin-Onomichi) but you will need to take a taxi for about ten minutes to get to the main tourist area if you get off there.
